An Event-Filled Day offering Health Screenings, Fitness Classes & Activities,
‘Lite Lunch and Door Prizes – It’s All Free!
Activities Presently on the Schedule
Health Screenings – Get your blood pressure, glucose & cholesterol checked by Northside Hospital staff.
Body Measurements – Get your weight, height & body mass index measured by Forsyth County Health Department.
PACE (People with Arthritis can Exercise) – Participate in this exercise class designed specifically for people with arthritis.
Outside/Inside Walking – Enjoy a walk as a personal trainer provides information about healthy walking.
Back-To-Action “Trigger Points Workshop” – A local chiropractor will teach you how to decrease tension and stress.
Co-ed Softball Game – Come out and play a pick-up game of co-ed softball. No experience required!
Co-ed Volleyball Game - Come out and play a pick-up game of co-ed volleyball. No experience required!
Croquet Game - Come out and play a game of croquet. No experience required!
Tai Chi Instruction – Learn some of the Tai Chi postures and the benefits of Tai Chi.
Pilates Instruction – Learn about the benefits of Pilates & participate in some of the exercises. Pilates focuses on developing core strength, improving posture and overall muscle tone.
Aerobics – Participate in high-low aerobics. You will use steps, resistance & weight training.
Body Sculpt & Tone – Participate in this class using weight training, cardio, and resistance training.
Weight Equipment Instruction – A certified personal trainer will review the proper use of the weight training equipment at the Central Park Recreation Center.
Cardio Workout – Come and try out this ½ hour cardio class that uses a low impact cardio workout!
Cardio Blast – An instructor will lead you through a sample cardio class that uses step and high-low aerobics.
Get Moving – Participate in this circuit training class that focuses on Cardio, Balance, Strength & Muscular Endurance.
Line Dancing – Dancing the day away in this fun class! You will learn different line dances.
Tennis Round Robin – Already play tennis? Come and enjoy an hour of tennis in this round robin session.
Instructional Tennis – Want to learn how to play tennis? Come out and learn some basic skills!
Disc Golf Instruction – Disc golf uses Frisbees to play golf. Come out and learn how to play!
Bird Watching – A local birder will talk about birding. Go on a birding adventure at Central Park. BYOB.
Badminton - Come out and play a game of badminton. No experience required!
Square Dancing – An instructor will lead you through some square dancing fun!
