What: Opening Ceremony for the new Mountain Bike Trail and Freeride Challenge Course
When: Saturday, March 26, 2005
4:00-Ribbon cutting ceremony-Kodak moments
5:00-Freeride demonstration
Where: Central Park on Hwy 306
Why: Celebrate this fabulous new amenity to Forsyth County. Forsyth County Parks and Rec partnered with RAMBO (Roswell-Alpharetta Mountain Bike Organization a chapter of SORBA-Southern Off-Road Bicycling Association) to create a 4 mile cross country mountain bike trail and the 1st official Freeride Challenge Course in Georgia. This project was completed in under 10 months due to the fabulous volunteer support and community service workers. In fact, it even won the Pea Pickin award for the most unique community service project of the year in Georgia!
What else: If you have a mountain bike and want to learn how to travel a trail in a safe and fun fashion join us from 9am-12pm on the 26th for a Beginners Class for all ages. Fee: $10.00 payable at the event.
