Smart Growth-Forsyth County (SGFC), an organization actively engaged in promoting smart, responsible, well-planned and balanced growth in our county, is hosting a golf tournament to raise money for this concerned community cause. Everyone is welcome to sign up and come join in on the fun, while helping raise money and awareness of all that SGFC does to keep Forsyth beautiful and well-planned. Here are details of the upcoming tournament:

What: First Annual Smart Growth-Forsyth Golf Tournament

Where: Laurel Springs Golf Club in Suwanee, Georgia

When: Monday, Aug. 22, 2005; registration at 9 a.m.; shotgun start at 10:30 a.m.

Cost: $75 per player; make checks payable to "SGFC" and mail to 3245 Peachtree Parkway, Suite D-329, Suwanee, Georgia 30024

Includes: Green fees, cart, range balls, individual tee package, lunch, coffee and snacks

Format: Up to 144 players will tee off in a golf scramble competition; both men and women are invited to attend. Sign up now to insure your spot!

Prizes: Awards for first, second and third place; skill awards and door prizes to be given away
