Atlanta's professional soccer club, the Silverbacks, return home this Friday, August 12th, for a crucial match against the Charleston Battery, which is one of the half-dozen teams battling Atlanta for the last playoff spot. The winner of this game will also take home the fan-inspired Southern Derby Cup, which the Black-and-Gold lost to the Apes in 2004. Forsyth County's Atlanta Soccer Academy (ASA) is offering tickets to this important game for just $8 per ticket.
The evening will also include the last of the three Silverbacks fireworks shows this season, directly following the game. The first 500 fans through the gate will receive a 2005 Socrates bobblehead doll, and the game will be nationally televised to 24 million viewers on Fox Soccer Channel.
