Forsyth Fusion Boys under 13 Soccer team won the Georgia State Presidents Cup for their age division at the state tournament held in Griffin. After rain delays cancelled games on Saturday, the team went undefeated in the match play and the semi-finals on Sunday, May 1. The championship game was played the following Saturday against AUSA Freedom Silver. After an epic battle that saw the Fusion team fight back from deficits twice during the second half the score was tied at two goals each after regulation time. Forsyth ultimately prevailed with a four goals to AUSA’s two in a penalty kicks.
