Pinholster Resigns State DOT Board

Garland Pinholster, Ed.D, has submitted his resignation from the State Transportation Board, effective yesterday, June 19.

Dr. Pinholster was elected to represent Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District on the Board in 2004 and served as its vice chairman last year.

The Lieutenant Governor and the Speaker of the House of the General Assembly will schedule an election by state legislators whose districts are included within the Sixth Congressional District to fill the remaining 10 months of Dr. Pinholster’s term of office.

The Department appreciates Dr. Pinholster’s service and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
