Holly Springs Man Charged with Child Molestation

Published Feb 29, 2008

Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office arrested a Holly Springs man Thursday afternoon after two separate police reports were filed that the man exposed himself to juveniles at the Wal-Mart on Bells Ferry Rd. in Acworth. Christopher Forte, 35 years of age, was charged with two counts of Child Molestation.

The investigation began on January 23, 2008 when the mother of a 6 year old girl reported that a white male had exposed and touched himself in the book section of Wal-Mart. The man immediately left the area and police were unable to locate the suspect.

On February 23, 2008 another incident at the same Wal-Mart was reported to the sheriff’s office. This time the mother of an 11 year old girl reported that a white male exposed and touch himself in the fabric section of the Wal-Mart. The manager was able to get the tag number of the suspect as he left the parking lot.

After reviewing Wal-Mart’s security video, detectives with the sheriff's office Crimes against Children Unit determined that the suspect in both cases was the same individual.

Forte is being held in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a $44,000.00 bond.
