Members of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement and H.E.A.T. Unit received five awards last week at the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) 4th Annual Law Enforcement Luncheon.
The event was held at the Macon Centreplex in Macon, Georgia. The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office was awarded the “Georgia Traffic Safety D.U.I. Enforcement Agency Award”. The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Unit was awarded the “Georgia HEAT Unit Traffic Safety DUI Enforcement Award”.
Sergeant William Thompson, Deputy Phillip Lunsford and Deputy George Rose were recognized for outstanding dedication to traffic safety in the State of Georgia.
