The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra presents three diverse holiday concerts this weekend, offering something for everyone.
Handel's Messiah: The ASO and ASO Chamber Chorus's acclaimed interpretation of the Christmas portion and Hallelujah Chorus of Handel's Messiah defines the holiday spirit. Bach's Christmas Oratorio (Part II) is even more reason to be in Symphony Hall. Norman Mackenzie conducts.
ASO Gospel Christmas: Shout it out Atlanta! This ASO-Atlanta holiday tradition features timeless spirituals, hymns and a popular mix of contemporary titles - 150 voices strong! Chelsea Tipton II conducts. In association with the Atlanta Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America.
A Kid's Christmas: Beloved children's film - The Snowman - and other holiday songs are playfully brought to life with the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra. Oscar the Robot will entertain prior to the concert, while Santa Claus makes a surprise visit. Complimentary candy cane for each child. Jere Flint conducts. Presented by GE Energy.
