Published Aug 19, 2008

Hemophilia of Georgia’s 26th annual Hit ’Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament will be sponsored by some of the area’s leading corporations and organizations including Hewlett-Packard and the Virgil P. The tournament, which supports critical research directed toward finding a cure for hemophilia, a hereditary blood clotting disorder that requires very expensive, life-long medical treatment, will be held October 28, 2008 at Château Élan Resort and Winery in Braselton, Georgia.

As the Official Team Prize sponsor, Hewlett-Packard will provide prizes for each member of the first, second, and third place finishing teams on each of the three courses at Château Élan. More than 400 corporate executives, local and sports celebrities, and invited guests are expected to participate in the tournament which also features an awards banquet, live auction, and raffle.

According to Joseph Harris, Trustee of the Foundation, “this is a first class tournament and we are happy to help such a great cause. In fact, some of my friends have said the Hit ‘Em for Hemophilia golf tournament is best tournament they’ve ever played.”
