Several years ago Andrew lost his father. His mother, Sandy, was diagnosed with an illness that has affected her ability to do anything requiring physical activity. Sandy was one of the first Forsyth County mothers to sign her son up for a Big Brother. She said, “I am excited to have my son paired with a positive role model. Andrew needs someone to do active things with him.” Andrew and his Big, Dustin, became Forsyth County’s first match within the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Forsyth.
Today, almost 2 years after becoming a match, Dustin and Andrew are still enjoying spending time together and they have developed a true friendship.
