September 8, 2005 (Cumming) This Saturday, members of the community are encouraged to get a jump-start on holiday shopping in order to help five-year-old Hannah Shaver. Diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma, a very serious and deadly form of cancer, Hannah is currently on a feeding tube and fighting for her life. Her pain is so intense that a constant morphine drip is required.

Hannah loves to play with Barbies and Bratz, and has two cats, Paula and Sylvester. She loves her big sister, Nicole. Her favorite “fine dining” restaurant is Chucky Cheese, but right now, she is crazy about Taco Bell.

Hannah’s treatment is extremely expensive. She has been through five rounds of chemotherapy and has completed one of two of the stem cell transplants that consist of the next part of her treatment protocol.

The Caring and Sharing Bazaar will take place on Saturday morning, September 10, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. It will be held at the Forsyth County Family Center located at 133 Samaritan Drive in Cumming.

Sponsors include Arbonne International, Avon, Big Yellow Box (Crayola), Creative Memories, Custom Gifts Galore, Home-Made Jewelry, Pampered Chef, Shaklee, Southern Living at Home, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware and many others. Food and beverages will also be available. There will be a raffle with items from local businesses including: C.T. Grinders, Everything Posh, The Foster House, Image Salon & Day Spa, a Key Photography Package, Longhorn Steakhouse, Painting for a Purpose, Primrose School, The Ridge, and many more! Each vendor is donating a portion of their proceeds to the Hannah Shaver fund.
