Prudential Georgia Realty’s Towne Lake office, located off Towne Lake Parkway near the movie theater in Woodstock, recently hosted its 1st Annual Sunshine Kids 5K Power Run/Walk to raise funds for this national non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. Some 75 walkers and 18 local sponsors took part in the event, held Saturday morning, November 10th, and raised more than $10,000 for the Sunshine Kids Foundation.
“We are so pleased that the public was so supportive of this event, which we plan to make into an annual fund-raiser for this worthy cause,” said Prudential Georgia Realty’s Towne Lake office Managing Broker Terry Moore.
The Sunshine Kids Foundation is the official charity of Prudential Georgia Realty and the local real estate firm raised more than $160,000 in 2006 for the cause. This significant contribution placed Prudential Georgia Realty in the top five for Sunshine Kids annual contributions for all Prudential real estate affiliates in North America. Established in 1982, this national organization assists children with cancer by providing them with positive group activities and outings as well as emotional support.
