Ms. Beth Kieffer, currently Principal, Vickery Creek Elementary School, has been appointed as Principal of the new Silver City Elementary School, for the 2006-07 school year. Ms. Kieffer came to the Forsyth County School System in August 1999 as Assistant Principal at Chattahoochee Elementary School and was appointed Principal of Vickery Creek Elementary School in 2001.
Ms. Keiffer served as a teacher and administrator in Gwinnett County Schools for 10 years. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, a Master's degree from North Georgia College and an Education Specialist's degree from the University of Georgia.
Ms. Jill Potts, currently Principal, Coal Mountain Elementary School, was appointed to be Principal of the new Shiloh Point Elementary School, for the 2006-07 school year. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, Master's and Education Specialist's degrees from Georgia State University, and is finishing her doctoral program in Instructional Leadership. Ms. Potts has been with Forsyth County since 1993 and served as a teacher at Chattahoochee Elementary, Assistant Principal at Chattahoochee and Daves Creek Elementary, and Principal at Settles Bridge Elementary prior to her current assignment in 2003.
Ms. Connie McCrary, currently Principal, Vickery Creek Middle School, was appointed to be Principal of the new Little Mill Middle School, for the 2006-07 school year. Ms. McCrary has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and a Master's degree from West Georgia. She taught in the Cobb County School System from 1994 to 1998. She came to Forsyth as Assistant Principal at Vickery Creek Middle School in 1998, transferred to North Forsyth Middle School as Assistant Principal in 2001, and was appointed to principal of Vickery Creek Middle School in 2003.
Mr. Richard Gill, currently Principal, South Forsyth High School, was appointed to be High School Principal on Special Assignment for school year 2006-07, preparing to open West Forsyth High School as Principal in school year 2007-08. Mr. Gill holds a Bachelor's degree from Indiana State University, a Master's from Iowa State University, and completed his educational leadership program at Georgia State University. Mr. Gill began his teaching career in 1972 and was a coach and counselor in Louisiana and Iowa. He came to Forsyth County in 1989 as a counselor at South Forsyth High School. Mr. Gill served as Assistant Principal at North Forsyth High School from 1994 until 2001 when he was appointed to be Principal at South Forsyth High School.
