A friend of mine's mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and doesn't have long to live. Her dog, "baby" a beautiful 7-year-old female rescue(about 40 pounds) now needs a home. She is great with kids and loves other dogs, but really needs someone who works from home during the day due to her separation anxiety (she is a house dog). Plus the fact that she is leaving her mother.
Her son is willing to pay all vet costs, up-to-date shots, etc.
I've agreed to keep her over the weekend so she doesn't go to the pound.

UPDATE
Good news! Last night, "Baby" the dog found a new home! She is going to live with a family in Sandy Springs with 2 little boys and another dog!
They are so excited about Baby and will take good care of her. Also, the new owner has agreed to help Baby visit her mom if time allows...
I can't thank you enough for all of your help finding a new home for Baby!
In one week, I received over 40 e-mails and numerous phone calls about this amazing animal. Your generosity and heartfelt efforts really give me hope that every rescue can find a home in Atlanta...so thank you, thank you!
I'm sure Baby would say the same...
